Margot and Rick Erdmann opened Spinning Yarns in September of 2002. Little Bruce joined the team in April of 2006 and then Baby Greta in September of 2008. We have had a ball (no pun intended) providing the NH Seacoast with fine yarns and fun classes. Located right in downtown Dover, we’ve strived to build a community for knitters and fiber enthusiasts through our knowledge and passion for knitting and yarn. We'd love for you to come visit, but you can also contact us by phone at 603-740-6476, or email at

Hemlock Ring Blanket Knit Along Now that the holidays are over, it’s time for another Knit Along. I thought the Hemlock Ring Blanket by Jared Flood (aka Brooklyn Tweed) would be the perfect project. A beautiful circular blanket using the Cascade Ecological Wool and size 10 needles. It’s a great introduction to lace if you haven’t tried it before, but still interesting for you more seasoned knitters. It takes only two skeins, which makes it only a $30 project - very affordable. The pattern is available free through Ravelry. To participate you first must download the pattern. Then come in and get some yarn. We have some Ecological Wool on hand, with much more coming in on Monday, January 11, but will be taking special orders on any of their colors at the shop. Sign up with us so we know you’re participating. The KAL will start in February. |
